The Dehradun rental cottage is an independent one on the hostess’s property and consists of two rooms, one large and one small. Apart from the size, the only difference in the two rooms is that the larger room features a cable TV and an air conditioner.  Since the cottage is in the lower slopes of Mussoorie, the Queen of Hill Stations, the cool breeze of the valley will soothe and stimulate. The larger room has a separate sitting area, with a large king sized bed, and a comfy French window sitting for cozy nap. The smaller room has twin beds. Both the ensuite rooms are well appointed, and will make you feel at home. 

Since the hostess of this cottage in Dehradun caters hot food and beverages for all meals, you will need to inform in advance. Home cooked delicious meals will be served in the cottage or in the garden, as per your requirements.  A tea and coffee station in the room is perfect to make your own beverages all the time. We serve meals on request. Breakfast, is served in our dining room or our garden, depending on the weather. We will bring hot beverages to your table, and you shall feel spoilt for choice with a buffet featuring Jams, marmalade, honey, in addition to cereals, bread, fresh fruit. There shall be eggs to order and if you are a strict vegetarian, let us know in advance so we can meet your requirements. Meals, including breakfast are not included in the tariff.

As this is a homestay we do not serve an Ala carte menu. There will be a menu for the day which we are sure you will thoroughly enjoy.

Breakfast: Rs. 250/- per head.

Lunch and dinner:

Vegetarian: Rs. 400/- per head.            Non vegetarian: Rs. 500/- per head.

Some House Rules

1) Smoking is not at all allowed inside the cottage. If you need to have a smoke, you shall have to step outside; I cannot reiterate enough the importance of this rule to be followed religiously.

2) Pets are not allowed.

3) Guests are requested to use the equipment, furniture, fittings etc with care. Any damages by guests will be charged for.

4) We may, at our own discretion and without liability or cost to ourselves at any time cancel or terminate the guest's booking in the event incompatible behaviour of the guest, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund.

5) The Sheets, Pillow Cases & towels will normally be changed once in four days during longer stays. If for any reason you need a change of linen or towels please request and we will do it for an extra fee.

6) Please switch off all electrical:  lights, air conditioner, geyser, TV etc when you are not using the facility.

7) We have an extremely trust worth staff working for us, but please keep all precious belongings locked at all times. We shall not be responsible for any unfortunate loss.

8) We have provided you with a tea/coffee station, with an electric kettle, tea bags etc in your room, If you still request for readymade tea or coffee from our kitchen it will be at an additional cost.

9)  Supplements, such as beverages that go from our kitchen, are not calculated and will have to be paid for in addition to the room charges.

10) Wi-Fi: We advise you to carry your own internet connection.

Activities:

The property is about 100m off the main road and is surround by trees. Our garden is visited perennially by various species of Himalayan birds which provide ample opportunity for avid bird watchers or those who would like to start out in the fascinating activity of bird watching. We can provide our guests with binoculars and bird watching books to enhance the experience.

Walking in the local village vicinity is a rewarding experience where one can sample the simplicity of village life. Trail bikes (bicycles) can be borrowed for an enthralling bike ride along the village roads.

Cooking lessons which involve breads, cold desserts and cakes can be arranged if you let us know in advance.

You can drive up to Mussoorie, Landour or Barlow Ganj and the surrounding hills for the day and enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas in all their majesty.

Else just enjoy the generally good weather and blue skies and sit out with a good book and read!

The home stay is located in the village of Guniyal gaon, on the outskirts of Dehra Dun and on the lower slopes of the Mussoorie hills. The verdant hills, rich greenery and abundant bird life here, adds to the ambient tranquillity of the home stay. Guniyal Gaon is a half-hour drive from Clock Tower, the city-centre of Dehra Dun and an hour's drive to Mussoorie.
The larger of the two rooms has heating and cooling amenities, cable tv, a tea and coffee station; we also provide the facility of a cleaning staff. The other bedroom has all that without a television and an air conditioner, we hardly ever need an aircon here in the foot hills.
The rooms are furbished keeping the restfulness of our house guests in mind; the unique details that dot the room, give it class and elegance.
