Guests have three bedrooms to choose from at this cottage in Dharamshala, of which two bedroooms are on the 1st floor, share a common washroom which is accessible from both the bedrooms. The bedrooms have natural pine wood furniture with tasteful upholstery, linen and comforters to drape, with a huge veranda to share. All bedrooms are well-appointed while the bathrooms have all the modern facilities. There are a total of three bedrooms on offer. Two double bed rooms are on the 1st floor which share a common washroom, which is accessible from both the bedrooms. The rooms have natural pine wood furniture and tasteful upholstery, linen and comforters to drape, with a huge veranda to share.

One double bedded room is on the ground floor with private en-suite facilities, in case you don't want to climb the stairs.

McLeod Ganj :  With an average elevation of 2,082 meters above sea level, McLeod Ganj is named after Sir Donald Friell McLeod who was the Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab under whom the area was developed. The place is known for its various attractions including the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama. The place is one of the most frequented spots in Dharamshala and is famous for its Tibetan culture, handicrafts and temples. The Hanuman Tibba is the highest peak at the height of 5,639 meters above sea level and can be viewed from McLeod Ganj. 

Masrur : Masrur is famous for its various rock-cut temples that date back to the 8th century AD. The carvings in the temples are finely detailed and are similar to that of the Ellora caves in Maharashtra and contain various images of the Hindu deities like Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshamana from the oldest Hindu epic, Ramayana. 

Kangra Museum : Kangra Museum houses various articles and artifacts that are significant to the Tibetan Buddhists and the Kangra Valley culture. The various manuscripts, handicrafts, pottery place here date back to the 5th century and the facility also contains a library. 

Kangra Fort : Kangra Fort was the seat and residence of the one of the oldest existing dynasties in the World. The Katoch rulers of Kangra belong to the lineage of the rulers of Trigata mentioned in the Hindu Epics Ramayana and Mahabharatha and also in Alexander the Great’s war records. The fort complex contains several well detailed halls and watchtowers along with a couple of temples that date back to the 9th century AD. 

Dal Lake : The Dal Lake in Dharamshala is named after its eponymous counterpart in Jammu and Kashmir. The lake is spread across 1 square kilometer and resembles the lake at Kashmir. It is one of the popular picnic spot and is surrounded by the thick deodar and juniper forests. The Kali temple located near the banks is home to a marvelous annual fair.

Namgyal Monastery : Namgyal Monastery was established by the 3rd Dalai Lama in 1575 and was relocated to Dharamshala following the 1959 Tibetan uprising. The monastery is one of the major learning and cultural centers of the Tibetan populated in Dharamsala. The monastery currently houses around 200 Tibetan monks and is one of the most frequented places in Dharamshala.

How to Reach

Air : The nearest airport to Dharamshala is Gaggal airport in Kangra valley, Himachal Pradesh. The airport is around 17 km away from Dharamshala and connects domestic flights to Delhi.

Rail : The nearest major railhead is in Pathankot, Punjab at a distance of 91 km. Train enthusiasts can continue their journey further on the Kangra Valley Railway to Kangra Mandir railway station, a journey that takes 6 hours and leaves you 24 km from Dharamshala. 

Road : Dharamshala has a good network of well connected roads that link Dharamshala with many cities and towns through the Inter State Bus Services. One can also hire private bus and taxi services to reach Dharamshala. 

About Location

Dharamshala is a city in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley and is surrounded by dense coniferous forest consisting mainly of stately Deodar cedar trees. The suburbs include McLeodGanj, Bhagsunath, Dharamkot, Naddi, ForsythGanj, Kotwali Bazaar (the main market), Kaccheri Adda (government offices such as the court, police, post, etc.), Dari, Ramnagar, Sidhpur, and Sidhbari (where the Karmapa is based).
The village of McLeodGanj, lying in the upper reaches, is known worldwide for the presence of the Dalai Lama. On 29 April 1959, the 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso) established the Tibetan exile administration in the north Indian hill station of Mussoorie. In May 1960, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) was moved to Dharamshala.
Dharamshala is the centre of the Tibetan exile world in India. Following the 1959 Tibetan uprising there was an influx of Tibetan refugees who followed the 14th Dalai Lama. His presence and the Tibetan population has made Dharamshala a popular destination for Indian and foreign tourists, including students studying Tibet.
One of the main attractions of Dharamshala is Triund hill. Jewel of Dharamshala, Triund is one day trek at the upper reaches of McLeodGanj, about 9 km from McLeodGanj.
