A chance booking over the internet led to a wonderful holiday in Ramgah. Words do not do justice to this luxurious cottage. While there are many great places to stay across the hills, this is the one for those looking to unwind. Situated away from the maddenning crowd, its the perfect place to view the magnificient Himalayas over endless cups of chai and bask in the sun. Well appointed rooms and excellent hospitality also add to the experience. So, if you're looking for a place to stay in Ramgarh, look no further. Romi Verma - Ludhiana
This was one of mesmerising journeys that we had. It was a new dawn to the year and what could be better than with snow flurries and warn fireplace . Driving to Mukteshwar from Ramgarh is awesome. Rock climbing on Chauli ki Jali is heroic experience. View of five peaks of Himalaya (i.e Nanda Devi Peak, Trisul etc.) from Mukteswar temple is astonishing. Sameer Kaul - Mumbai
Very unlike a resort or hotel feeling ...a home away from home... the food was cooked as per a choice and liking.... we could go for long treks .... and spend the evening sitting out on the terrace.. I loved the collection of books... Neeraj Kumar - Gurgaon
The minute i saw this place online, i knew this is gonna be an amazing experience. Beautifully designed and located in Naggar (peaceful & heavenly village), the cottage is an awesome place to stay. The food is very good and the people around are excellent in their own ways.... i loved my stay here and wish to visit again. :)Neelam Rathore - Delhi
I must say that out of all the places in Manali we have stayed in, this Cottage has the most beautiful setting. It’s located in the midst of Apple Orchard and has an amazing view. I love to get away from the busy life of the city and like to soak in nature. This is the perfect place to do that.
The cute town of Naggar in Himanchal is like a fairyland and this place is the castle.
No matter which part of the cottage you are in, you get to see the best view. And not to forget so....many fruit trees.
The cottage is self sufficient with all the modern amenities. It makes the stay so....comfortable. And the beautiful wood work in the cottage reminds you of the old world charm. So elegant!
In fact i am looking forward to visit this place again in December.
One has to visit this place to experience the magic. It’s truly beyond imaginationHiten Sathe - Ahmedabad
The cottage is amazing, very homely feel. Owner and his family was perfect host & treated us with great warmth. Cook - Anil was very humble & polite. We had great homemade food & definitely an advantage to have delicious yet meals like home made.
Facilities were good for comfortable stay, only a request the TV in living room is quite small for its room size. Would definitely like to revisit.Ashima -New Delhi
The discovery of Naggar and this awesome Cottage was serendipitous, and we loved every minute of our stay at the place. The village itself is what a hill station should be-peaceful, not yet spoilt by the sordidness of Indian commercial tourism [except the trash dumped by some unthinking visitors], happy and friendly locals who are not out to fleece you, and plenty of places around to which you can enjoy a walk or a trek. The property is ideal for a group of six to seven people. The rooms are pleasant, with magnificent views from the first floor front bedroom. Our cook, a Nepali named Michael turned out to be not just a good cook but a willing help, guide and companion. The family which owns the property, are very friendly, affable and extremely helpful people.
We wanted to extend our stay, but as usual, business demands came in the way, But we would like to go there again, and do all those things which we could not do in this trip. The Cottage has given me and my family one of the best holidays ever!!!
The cook at the cottage, Anil bhaiya, spoilt us rotten with his scrumptious cooking 'round the clock, while Chandan ji's hospitality and friendliness made us want to keep chatting with him and listening to his interesting stories! The efforts that were made to make us feel at home by him and his staff has left us with gratitude for a lifetime!
The property in itself is beautiful and leaves you awestruck! Being a mother to young children, I was also extremely happy to see how clean and hygienically the cottages were maintained! Hot water, clean linen, fresh food, all given to us with lots and lots of love!!!
Our drivers were also looked after just as well and they were also all praise about the destination and the staff!!!
Thank you all, for giving us such lovely memories for life!!!Priyanka Aswal - Delhi
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL STAY. EXCELLENT FOOD AND VERY NICE STAFF. THANK YOU ANNA LANGLEY - U.K.
We stayed here in the cusp period when season was just about to begin (end of March and beginning of April). We wanted a nice quiet holiday and this place completely fit the bill. We stayed on the first floor. The rooms are spacious and clean. The balcony is a long corridor and faces the valley. There is a spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges right from the balcony. In fact the sunrise can be viewed from the balcony and is a breathtaking experience. We had a lovely time soaking up the sun and taking in the view at various times in the day. There are some pleasant walks that you can go on. There is a school right opposite the property and it was fun watching little rosy cheeked kids trudging up the hill very sincerely with their books. The staff, especially a boy named Mukesh, was very courteous and attended to our every need. The owner of the hotel is a local lad and very enterprising and honest. The food was average and the owner apologised profusely for this saying the cook had gone home for Holi. This is just the place for someone who prefers a quiet holiday...There isn't much to do here and that is what we enjoyed the most. Priya - New Delhi
This cottage has just 8 rooms, 4 each on ground & first floor and is around 1.5 Km from the so called mall road of Kausani. One shouldn't compare Kausani with Nainital or Manali. Its small small town in the Kumaon region, far away from all noise, a place to relax & be with nature.Mr. Negi & his staff is very helpful and try to help you in best possible manner. Rooms are cosy having full glass on one side from which one can see sunrise. Bathrooms are clean & big with geyser. Small garden around hotel where children can play cricket & badminton. Kumaon food served was tasty, but same is not true about punjabi food. Complimentary breakfast served was tasty with choice of Parathas, Poori Bhaji, choice of eggs, bread, tea/coffee.We have booked 5 rooms. On check-in we found flooring of one room was dirty. We informed hotel staff who swiftly arranged for cleaning. We couldn't see himalayan range due to smog. Ravindra inform us that best time to enjoy this is from October to March. There isn't much to do in Kausani. You can enjoy small treks apart from visiting Anasakti Ashram. We will recommend this hotel for best views, good sleep quality & excellent service. Manohar Sathe - Mumbai
I mean It. It has to be one of the best place to stay in Kausani. Please dont go for size.. it has only eight rooms 4 in the GF and 4 in the FF. The FF rooms are Delux and the FF rooms are Super Delux. And the best thing you shall get a clear view of the snow clad peaks like i.e is Nanda Devi, Trishul, Panchachuli ect.You wont feel as if you are staying in hotel. you shal feel you are in your own home. the type of treatment you get. Food is excellent. I can bet. .I had never had such a great Butter chicken in my life. It is great Value for money. please go for a meal combo plan. i.e BF+ one Mean along with stay and i am assuring you shall not repent.it is very clean and neat. No much complication. Best thing you can see the sun Rise and sunset both from your room as the room has big clean glass window. Location is also Awsome and you cannot expect to have a better location. Please see the village light in the night from the balcony towards the valley side. you shall remember the view for the life time.lastly the Staff -Very good and very friendly. specialy Mr. Negi Great person he is. andf the Cheff as young boy. How can he cook so so so well ????? Arnab - Vadodra
Awesome experience staying here. Best part is the locaton which is away from the hustle bustle of the Nainital. But still its just 25 minutes drive from the Naini jheel. We enjoyed every bit of the stay here. The food, Service, Rooms all are very good. Not even a single negative point to say about this cottage. Bikram Singh - Gurgaon
