About Location

Nestling in the foothills of the Himalayas , Corbett National Park has extremely varied topography and vegetation. This gives it a rich diversity of habitat and natural beauty. Flat valleys are interspersed with hilly ridges and the Park's rolling grasslands known as the 'Chaurs' provide visitors with an excellent view of the animals. The Ramganga River flows through the Park and little forest streams tumble through the ravines. While dense stands of Sal cloak the higher ridges, mixed deciduous forests are found throughout the park. There are over 110 varieties of trees, 51 species of shrubs and over 33 kinds of bamboo and grasses. Corbett has a good tiger population. It was here that the "Project Tiger" was launched in 1973. Four species of deer - Hog deer, Sambhar, Spotted deer & Barking deer and other prey like wild boar, support the predators. Besides tiger, Corbett biosphere reserve is a haven for 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds and 25 reptile species. The park has elephants, the Himalayan black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, variety of lesser cats and a large variety of avi-fauna. Along the banks of the Ramganga are the fish-eating crocodiles ( gharial ) and the mugger or marsh crocodile. The river is rich in the Mahseer - although angling is not permitted inside the National Park. Jhirna Zone falls within the southern part of the Corbett national park. It is the only tourism zone of Corbett national park which remains open throughout the year. Best time to visit is from October to June.

As I entered this after a beautiful drive from Pangot the only word I could say was wow. This was entering some jungle....The set up is amazing.I am planning to come back with my family....The rooms are spacious and food is simply superb...The birding in premises is itself very nice .Staff is very welcoming..... Recommended for those who want to avoid regular concrete accommodation..... Pankaj Sood - Kullu

I am an avid Wild Life lover & have been coming to these Areas for the last 50 years. I have stayed here on 4 trips of mine. Each and every member of the Staff take great care in making my stay the most memorable. On Safaris with their Nature Guide, KD, I have seen and photgraphed Tigers on 3 Safaris. I wholly recommend this Resort to one and all who are REAL WILD LIFE LOVERS. Cheers:SUNNY - JIND

If you love to have a neat , clean and big place to stay, opt for it. Truly a wonderful place to stay. Even tough we reached the place well past midnight, our food was neatly laid out in one of the rooms in hot cases. That itself impressed us.The wash areas in each room is really huge. The kitchen will keep on churning awesome fares for all the meals .There was so much variety that we went bonkers..:-)Loved the desserts that we enjoyed during our three nights stay. They also have a good network of birding guides who can accompany the group.Staff is very very helpful without being intrusive. You will also see many species of birds within the campus.Overall, the best place to stay if you are in Corbett!!!! Geetanjali Dhar - Bangalore

The welcome we received when we entered in the resort was overwhelming. Rooms were well equipped, clean and hygeinic.being a foodie I must say the taste and quality of food was awsome. The best part was the surroundings and the river which is just 100 meters from its back gate,I had a great time in Tiger camp... highly recommended.Rajat Shakya - Bangalore

Last weekend we went on short trip to Jim Corbett National Park. We stayed at the resort...the moment we entered the place we got a feeling that this what we wanted our holiday place to be.We were welcomed by luscious greenery nah call it thick vegetation, the cottages were simple but tastefully done, comfortable beds, spacious and well lit room, large changing area and then the big bathroom with a big bath tub....and this is not all the food served was super tasty it was a huge spread and everything they cooked was just YUMMMY!!! ...all this at very nominal price....away from the city humdrum we relaxed in peace... Vandana Teji - Gurgaon
