Description

Two cottages near Manali, in a place called Naggar, surrounded by natural views of the valleys, farms, mountains and skies will nurture your body, mind and soul. It’s a place at a height of 1850 meters above sea level with the river Beas just around the corner. It’s away from the throb of city activities, about half-way between Manali and Kullu, yet it will make your heart, beat, in tandem with its own. It’s a place, un-spoilt and untouched, yet some humans have built a habitat for themselves and welcome strangers like you and us warmly. It’s a cozy cottage that offers all modern comforts in the lap of Mother Nature.

These cottages in Manali are created by Chandan and his wife Kalpana, a duo who understand, respect and value nature and its abundance of offerings. They have built two cottages next to their own home. One cottage offers three bedrooms and bathrooms along with a kitchen, living and dining space. All three bedrooms have balconies that give unobstructed views of the Himalayas, the rolling greens and the horizon. The other cottage is built according to local tradition with modern amenities and consists of two en-suite bedrooms with a living, dining and kitchen space along with the same panoramic views.

This Manali cottage offers organic food, a well-stocked kitchen along with a helping hand if required. And, if you want prepared meals, the dishes here are fresh and flavorsome and have a fair share of the local cuisine. In between meals and cups of tea, you will have ample time to relax and unwind. Or, you can just gaze at the skies, especially at night, follow the birds, go for nature walks and fishing, visit a local fort or temples, discover the works of a Russian artist, learn about cine star, Devika Rani, milk cows, weave with the locals or simply take a deep breath of fresh air and relaxation.

Come, book a holiday now at this Manali Cottage where you can relax with no deadlines, rejuvenate with the bounties of nature, reacquaint yourself with art and some Bollywood history, restructure your thought process with the beauty of mountains and recover with idleness from the stress of city life.

Testimonial

The minute i saw this place online, i knew this is gonna be an amazing experience. Beautifully designed and located in Naggar (peaceful & heavenly village), the cottage is an awesome place to stay. The food is very good and the people around are excellent in their own ways.... i loved my stay here and wish to visit again. :)

Neelam Rathore - Delhi

I must say that out of all the places in Manali we have stayed in, this  Cottage has the most beautiful setting.  It’s located in the midst of Apple Orchard and has an amazing view. I love to get away from the busy life of the city and like to soak in nature. This is the perfect place to do that.

The cute town of Naggar in Himanchal is like a fairyland and this place is the castle.

No matter which part of the cottage you are in, you get to see the best view. And not to forget so....many fruit trees.

The cottage is self sufficient with all the modern amenities. It makes the stay so....comfortable. And the beautiful wood work in the cottage reminds you of the old world charm. So elegant!

In fact i am looking forward to visit this place again in December.

One has to visit this place to experience the magic. It’s truly beyond imagination

The cottage is amazing, very homely feel. Owner and his family was perfect host & treated us with great warmth. Cook - Anil was very humble & polite. We had great homemade food & definitely an advantage to have delicious yet meals like home made.

Facilities were good for comfortable stay, only a request the TV in living room is quite small for its room size. Would definitely like to revisit.

Ashima -New Delhi

The discovery of Naggar and this awesome Cottage was serendipitous, and we loved every minute of our stay at the place. The village itself is what a hill station should be-peaceful, not yet spoilt by the sordidness of Indian commercial tourism [except the trash dumped by some unthinking visitors], happy and friendly locals who are not out to fleece you, and plenty of places around to which you can enjoy a walk or a trek. The property is ideal for a group of six to seven people. The rooms are pleasant, with magnificent views from the first floor front bedroom. Our cook, a Nepali named Michael turned out to be not just a good cook but a willing help, guide and companion. The family which owns the property, are very friendly, affable and extremely helpful people.

We wanted to extend our stay, but as usual, business demands came in the way, But we would like to go there again, and do all those things which we could not do in this trip. The Cottage has given me and my family one of the best holidays ever!!!

The cook at the cottage, Anil bhaiya, spoilt us rotten with his scrumptious cooking 'round the clock, while Chandan ji's hospitality and friendliness made us want to keep chatting with him and listening to his interesting stories! The efforts that were made to make us feel at home by him and his staff has left us with gratitude for a lifetime!

The property in itself is beautiful and leaves you awestruck! Being a mother to young children, I was also extremely happy to see how clean and hygienically the cottages were maintained! Hot water, clean linen, fresh food, all given to us with lots and lots of love!!!

Our drivers were also looked after just as well and they were also all praise about the destination and the staff!!!

Thank you all, for giving us such lovely memories for life!!!
